Toshiba Blu-Ray Players BDX3100 and BDX1100 Due October In UK
Before we embark on the usual litany of all-important specs, take note that the BDX3100 is for Blu-Ray 3D while the BDX1100 is plain Blu-Ray. That said, let’s go over the details.
Officially dubbed the BDX3100KB, this Blu-Ray player is supposed to be the last piece of the 3D triumvirate involving a laptop and TV that Toshiba has unleashed upon its UK customer base. The official press release can’t emphasize the awesome experience that’s 3D, but we’ll skip that part and get to the meat: Dolby True HD sound support, multi-compatibility that spans HD-JPEG and MP3 formats and a USB port.
As for its humbler sibling, the BDX1100KB is strongly recommended (again, the press release and not us) for those simple folk wanting a straightforward Blu-Ray experience. Except for 3D, all the other specs are the same except for the BDX1100KB’s lack of a USB 2.0 and 3D compatible awesomeness.
That said, these juicy new nuggets of home entertainment won’t be available till October. If the Toshiba faithful out there are already salivating for—like Ole Grandpappy said, better start saving yer pennies then.
