A company called Tobii Technology has unveiled what it is calling ‘the worlds first laptop with integrated eye control’. The prototype laptop was developed in a collaboration between Lenvo and Tobii Technology.
This new prototype laptop uses a new type of control interface, that uses your eye movements to control things on the laptops display, by looking at an icon or a gadget on the laptop display, information will be displayed on the screen.
You can zoom pictures or maps and automatically center on the area you are looking at; The computer can auto-dim and brighten the screen when it recognises your eyes to increase battery time. Eye control can also speed things up by enabling new and intuitive ways to switch between open windows, and browse your emails and documents.
It certainly sounds very interesting, and we would like to see it in action to see how it works, hopefully the manufacturers will release a video of it in action to give us an idea of how it works.Filed Under: Laptops, Technology News
