Most people don’t write everything out fully when sending a text, so even the best can sometimes have trouble interpreting what was written. Most “text speak” is easy to interpret, but it can get frustrating sometimes and confusing.
An app called TextGenie has been created and it basically translates “text speak” into English that anyone can understand. It uses a 1,500 word dictionary of the different phrases, slangs and acronyms and deciphers it all for you. You can even build on that dictionary by adding words to the list.
Text Genie might be worth checking out if you have someone typing a bunch of stuff that you can’t even follow. I’m sure this one will be popular with parents.
