QNAP Unveils New Turbo NAS Servers

QNAP has just unveiled its new range of network attached storage (NAS) for home and small business use. The new range  includes the QNAP Turbo NAS TS-112TS-212 and TS-412 offering a massive total of 12TB to store your files and media on.

Each QNAP NAS server is powered by a Marvell 1.2GHz processor and is equipped with 256MB of DDRII RAM together with low power consumption as standard. The TS-x12 series includes the 1-drive TS-112, 2-drive TS-212, and 4-drive TS-412.

Sony’s PlayStation Move Coming To PCs?

It looks like Sony’s PlayStation Move controller may one day be available on the PC as well as your PlayStation 3 thanks to a project in the works which is called Move Server.

According to the guys over at Kotaku, Move Server is a project which is currently being worked on by some game developers and academics who are looking to build Move powered games for your PC.

Intel Recalls Sandy Bridge Chipset Because Of Design Flaw

Intel has today issued a statement indicating that there is a major flaw with its new Intel 6 Series chipset, Cougar Point due to a problem with the SATA controller. Intel reports that the ports can degrade over time eventually leading to poor i/o performance in te later life of the processor. Intel has already put a stop on shipments f its new Sandy Bridge chip and a recall will start very soon.

Intel has also developed a fix for the problem and expects to begin delivering the updated version of the chipset to customers in late February and expects full volume recovery in April.

With the recent news that there is a flaw in the new Intel Sandy Bridge chipsets, the first manufacturer to announced that they will be offering customers who have purchased a Sandy Bridge PC is Samsung.

Samsung has announced that any customer who purchased a notebook or PC with Intel’s Sansy Bridge Chipset will get a full refund or an exchange product.
