Time-lapse features are normall include in the specification on more expensive DSLR cameras. But what if you fancy having a play with time-lapse on a budget? Well Andyk75 has created a fantastic littel mod that allows you to setup a time-lapse feature on even the most basic point-and-shoot camera.

Nokia researches in Finland have created a fantastic demonstration ubiquitous computing. Where computers are embedded into everyday objects such as tables, walls or doors. MIT Personal Robotics Group has been busy hacking Microsofts Kinect system and combining it with an iRobot to create some fantastic results. MIT have created a low cost localisation and mapping hardware system that allows them to control the iRobot with great effect. Check out the system after the jump in a demo video.

If while gaming, your Xbox 360 gets seriously hot and you are worried that the ‘red ring of death’ may pay you a visit. You could try cooling your Xbox 360 system using this igneous cooling device using an air conditioning unit and length of tube.

Kinect hacks are appearing fast and furiously since the outing of the open source drivers earlier this week. The Mac Kinect hack is a port/adaptation of Hector Martin’s libfreenect for OS X made by Theodore Watson. Check out the video after the jump to see the Kinect running on OS X.
