More Photos of Moto X With Wooden Backs Leaked

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the wooden backs for the Moto X. We’ve seen the wood backs for Moto X leaked on several occasions in the past, with one vague “coming soon” statement from many sources. Even Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside mentioned in an interview with Marques Brownlee that new material options will be available soon. Earlier today, @evleaks also leaked another image of the Moto X with a wood back, and another interesting thing: a Verizon logo.

Sony Xperia Z1f Heading to Japan on December 19th

Back in October, Sony officially unveiled the mini version of Xperia Z1 dubbed as Xperia Z1f in Japan. The handset was expected to arrive on Japan’s NTT Docomo, but there was no official date announced until today.

An update to Sony Xperia Z1f product page on NTT Docomo reveals that the handset will hit the shelves on December 19th, and will be available in white, black, pink and lime color.

Verizon Droid DNA Getting Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5

Verizon is rolling out the much awaited Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update with Sense 5 UI for HTC Droid DNA. It might be a little too late, but it should make some of the Droid DNA users happy.  HTC also announced a few weeks back that Droid DNA will also get the taste of Android 4.4 KitKat by the end of first quarter of 2014, which is way too far. Anyway, the update for Droid DNA will roll out in two parts, and when complete, will update HTC Droid DNA to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 UI.

Google Offering Free Nexus 5 or Nexus 7 To Its Employees as a Holiday Gift

Holidays are approaching fast and everyone is buying gifts for their family and friends. Just like every year, Google is offering its employees a choice between Google Nexus 5 and  the Nexus 7 tablet as a holiday gift this year. LG Optimus F3Q headed to T-Mobile

Wow, it’s been awhile since we saw an Android smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It’s quite a sight. They live! And it looks like T-Mobile will be releasing one, at least according to a recent leak. The smartphone depicted above is allegedly the LG Optimus F3Q. Samsung announces Galaxy Win Pro

Although it was previously unannounced until now, the Samsung Galaxy Win Pro has quietly surfaced on the Korean manufacturer’s China web portal today. The Win Pro is a midrange version of its predecessor, the Galaxy Win, but it does sport a nice 4.5-inch qHD display, which is a nice step up from the 4.7″ WVGA display that the Galaxy Win had. So it is midrange with a nice bonus.

Samsung SM-G900F Appears Again, Could It Be the Premium Version of Galaxy S5?

Not too long ago, a mysterious Samsung handset SM-G900S was spotted on GFXBench, which was rumored to be the premium version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 or possibly the F-series we’ve seen before. Earlier today, another report mentions that a device carrying a similar handset, with a model number SM-G900F, has been shipped to India on December 2nd for research and development purposes from Korea.

Samsung Galaxy S5 to Launch in Late-April 2014, Ultra High-end F Series in Works (Rumor)

Earlier today, we shared with you what we know about the purported Samsung Galaxy S5, including its rumored specifications as well as the possible launch date. Most of the rumors mention the official launch to take place in February, probably before the Mobile World Congress 2014 kicks off. However, it may not be true if Eldar Murtazin is to be believed. Motorola Sells Out of Moto X On Wednesday Within Minutes

After a problematic start on Monday, Motorola announced that the two-day Cyber Monday sale will continue on Wednesday and next Monday, offering a $150 discount on the off-contract Moto X, until allotted Moto X units were sold out. Motorola announced via Google+ that the company is sold out of all the promotional Moto X units on Wednesday in under 9 minutes after the deal went live.

Android 4.4 KitKat Update Rolling Out for US Cellular Moto X

Yesterday, it was reported that Android 4.4 Update will roll out and it seems it was correct. Android 4.4 KitKat update for the US Cellular variant is rolling out and should reach the devices in the coming days. Now, the only major carrier to release the Android 4.4 KitKat for Moto X is Sprint.

The majority of features are similar to other Moto X variants including, camera improvements, improved phone dialer, restyled status and navigation bars, improved security, new Hangouts app with SMS/MMS integration, photo editing options in the Gallery and more.
