Motorola Cliq Review Roundup

The Motorola Cliq was announced back in September, it is Motorola’s latest Android handset, which will run Motorola’ custom UI, MOTOBLUR, and it features a 3.1 inch HVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 480.

Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with built in auto focus, Geo Tagging and a range of imaging editing tools, There is also a slide out Qwerty keyboard, and GSM, 2G, WiFi, EDGE and GPRS connectivity.

Google’s Giant Android 2.0 Eclair

Google [GOOG] has given confectionery code names to each of it’s Android releases and marked the occasion by placing a giant cake on it’s front lawn, previous versions have been called Android 1.5 (Cupcake), Android 1.6 (Donut), and the latest one Android 2.0 (Eclair), which Google has just placed on it’s front lawn.

Acer Liquid Android Smartphone

It looks like we have another new product from Acer today, they have just announced their first Google Android smartphone, the Acer Liquid.

The Acer Liquid will comes with Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and will run Google’s Android (1.6) OS, on top of that there is a WVGA touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera with built in auto focus, ISO, ge-tagging and a self timer.

Google Android Market 1.6 Announced

Google has announced that it will be updating its Android Market, with a new version 1.6 which will bring a host of new features and make it more user friendly for Android users.

Google Android Market 1.6 will offer more information to users about each applications, including screen shots of apps, longer descriptions, and new categories will be added including ‘Top Paid’ and ‘Top Free’ apps.

Dell Mini 3i Android Smartphone Gets Official

Dell has launched the Dell Mini 3i that we told you about last week, it was revealed today in China, and it runs the Chinese designed OMS (Open Mobile System), which is an Android based software platform.

The Mini 3i is a 2GSM mobile phone, it comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with an LED flash, plus Bluetooth, unfortunately it doesn’t have any WiFi.

More details have been revealed of Dell’s first Google Android powered smartphone, the Dell Mini 3i.

The Boy Genius Report has obtained some images of Dell’s new android handset, plus a list of the specifications, which include a 3.5 inch LCD display, with a 640 x 360 resolution, a 3 megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and 8 x digital zoom.
