verTick is a Geeky Wall Clock Concept

Most of the clocks we see on walls in offices and homes are either roundish or rectangle digital units. Rarely do you see a clock that is as interesting as the verTick at Yanko Design. The clock has sticks with numbers rather than a digital readout or hands.

In the middle of the clock is an aluminum section with windows. The sticks move up and down on motors to put the right number in the windows to shows the time. The clock is 438mm high at its longest point.

The 8 Bit Guitar

The 8 Bit Guitar was created by Mike Davenport as part of his senior project at the University of Florida, and it is constructed with some video game controller parts and a guitar.

As you can see in the video below, the guitar plays some cool 8 bit video game sounds, and the 8 Bit Guitar has an FPGA for logic and function, and has strings and a joystick which modify the pitch.
