Samsung Demos 55 Inch Production OLED TV

Samsung has announced that their new 55 inch OLED TV is ready for production and the company has shows it off at the Samsung Premium TC Showcase 2012.

The Samsung ES9500 OLED TV  was first seen at CES back in January, and it comes with a range of features which include Samsung’s ‘Smart Content’, a dual view feature which allows two people to watch two channels at once in full screen mode.

Lenovo Launches K91 Android 4.0 Smart TV In China

Lenovo announced a new range of smart TVs back in January at CES 2012, the Lenovo K Series, and the first of these Android 4.0 powered Smart TVs has now launched in China, the Lenovo K91.

The Lenovo K91 is a 55 inch Smart TV and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and comes with Android 4.0, it has a range of built in features which include voice recognition.

LG To Launch Its New Google TV Sets In The US This Month

We recently heard that LG were getting ready to launch their new Google TV powered TVs in the US, and now LG has confirmed that the first of their new Google TV devices will land in the US near the end of May.

The first of these new Google TVs from LG will be available in store by the week of the 21st of May, and we saw some of these new devices back in January at CES.

Panasonic And NHK’s New 145 Inch Ultra HDTV In Action (Video)

Last week we heard that Panasonic and NHK were working on a new ultra high definition plasma TV that would come with a massive 145 inch display, and now we have some actual photos of the device plus a video.

This new giant Panasonic and NHK Plasma TV uses the Super Hi-Vision format which is available in Japan, and features a resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels, have a look at the video below.

Panasonic And NHK Working On New 145 Inch Plasma TV With 8K Resolution

Panasonic has announced that it will be working with NHK to produce a new plasma TV which will measure a massive 145 inches, and will come with a whopping 8K resolution.

The hew Panasonic 145 inch plasma TV will feature a resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels, which is known as Super Hi-Vision in Japan, and it will be the worlds first 8K display that doesn’t need a backlight.

Anyone in the market for a pocket sized pico projector might be interested in the new Phillips PicoPix 2480, which was first unveiled back in February of their year and measure just (W x H x D) 190 x 80 x 190 mm.

The Phillips PicoPix 2480 is equipped with a 80 lumens LED bulb whilst on power or 55 lumens when powered by its internal battery, enabling you to project an image up to 120 inches or 320cm across.

Hauppauge Broadway Box Software Update Adds DVR Recording Features

Hauppauge has this week released a new update for its Digital Broadway digital streaming media box, which allows you to now record TV programmes and films and watch them at a later date in a similar way to a traditional digital video recorder.

Previously the Hauppauge Digital Broadway Box would only allow you to watch live TV. The Broadway media box has a built-in over the air digital TV tuner (ATSC), together with support for clear QAM digital cable TV and connections to cable or satellite set top boxes.
