BlackBerry Classic Q20 To Launch In November

The BlackBerry Q20 was announced at Mobile World Congress back in February, and BlackBerry CEO John Chen has revealed that the device will launch in November as the BlackBerry Classic Q20.

BlackBerry are obviously hoping that by renaming the handset to the BlackBerry Classic, they will be able to entice some of their previous BlackBerry fans to purchase this new smartphone.

AT&T Released Blackberry 10.2.1 for Z10 and Q10

AT&T is on an update spree. The carrier rolled out the latest Android 4.4 KitKat update for a bunch of devices, including the Galaxy S4 Active and LG G Flex.

Now, the carrier has started rolling out Blackberry 10.2.1 update for the Blackberry Z10 and Q10. The update brings a number of new features and improvements, including gesture support, BBM support for any app, improved lock screen notifications, improved battery monitor that offer in-depth details about battery usage and more.

Sprint BlackBerry 10.2.1 Update Finally Released

At the end of January, BlackBerry announced that they would start rolling out the BlackBerry 10.2.1 update, and now it looks like US mobile carrier Sprint has started to roll out the update to their devices.

BBM Gets An Update With Stickers, Increased File Transfer Size and More

There one area where Blackberry is receiving a some what decent response is the Blackberry Messenger app for Android and iOS. Released last year, the app has managed to grab 85 million users, and consistently working on adding new features to the app for all platforms.

BlackBerry Devices Will No Longer Be Available With T-Mobile

BlackBerry and T-Mobile haven’t had the best business relationship over the last six months, we presume it started when T-Mobile announced that they would no longer offer BlackBerry devices in their stores, this happened last September.

Then T-Mobile ran a promotion earlier this year to get owners of BlackBerry devices to switch to the iPhone, and it would appear that this wasn’t very well received by BlackBerry.

BBM Now Has 85 Million Active Users

Earlier today BlackBerry revealed their fourth quarter earnings results, and they also shared some details about how many BBM users they have.

BlackBerry now has a total of 113 million BBM users, and 85 million of these are active users on a monthly basis. the company has managed to grow their BBM users since launching the app on other platforms like iOS and Android.
