Here is an interesting lamp from designer Eero Aarnio, the Swan XL Floor Lamp .

The Swan XL Floor Lamp is designed to stand next to your armchair and provide light when you are reading, it certainly looks like it would take up a lot of space.

The Swan XL Floor lamp will be produced by Martella, unfotunately there is no word on pricing or availability as yet.
