Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was one of the most successful Star Wars games ever. Many of us have spent hours playing the game and had an enjoyable time. People love it. That is why it was exclusively ported for the iPad earlier this year by game developer Aspyr Media. Now we are learning that a substantial update for the game will be released on December 19.
The update will make the classic role-playing title a universal iOS app. That means that it will be available for iPhone users as well. Even devices as old as iPhone 4s and the 5th generation iPod Touch will likely be able to run the game with no problems, but we don’t have any official information on this yet. We hope that this is the case.
The visuals of SW: KotOR could take advantage of Apple’s high-resolution screens and probably will. After all this was not implemented in the original port of the game and if it looks bad, what’s the point? Also, the graphics will be enhanced with bloom lighting (for Apple A7-powered iDevices), and shadows. Who is looking forward to this update? I know I am.
