Sportiiis Projects An HUD Onto Your Sunglasses
That’s no typo. It’s really spelled Sportiiis. Yup, with a lot of iiiiiisss. But hold on, because this is one impressive gadget. Too bad it can’t be sued for gaming. See, the health uber-conscious part of the population has a tendency to sport cool eyewear. What the Sportiiis does is use a series of LED bulbs to inform the wearer of health stats. Neat, huh?

It comes as no surprise that the value of a head sup display in everyday life is rather questionable. HUDs don’t really seem essential unless you’re a fighter pilot or are susceptible to hardcore first person shooters.
Additionally, to make it work it needs to be synced with an Ant+ device. Says so on the product page:
Using the Mac, PC or Smartphone software, the LEDs can be programmed to visually respond to data from ANT+ devices. For example, when paired with a heart rate strap, you can create a custom setup for how the LEDs will respond to your heart rate (or load a preset workout based on your personal data). This workout program is then downloaded to the Sportiiiis unit.
The bad news is it costs $200. Ouch.
