Speedway Alternative Transport System Concept

Designed by Christian Forg this  alternative transport system concpet called Speedway is designed to enhance the currently limited range and speed on electric vehicles. By putting a linear motor into the highways to extend propulsion it is embedded underneath the pavement and uses a drifting magnetic field to drive the vehicle. Check out the video after the jump.

contact-free operating linear motor can be installed beneath existing roads and therefore offer the possibility to implement the new system step-by-step, without derailing the existing system. During the ride, the infrastructure can be used to charge the onboard batteries
