Sony has released more details on their new range of ultraportable laptops, the Sony Z Series, which feature a 13.3 inch LED backlit screen and a range of Intel Core i7-620M processors.

Other specifications include Quad SSD drives and NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics and up to 6GB of RAM.

Sony Vaio Z Series Ultraportable Notebooks

There are two models in the range, the VAIO VPCZ11Z9E and VAIO VPCZ11X9E, the VAIO VPCZ11Z9E features a choice of Core i7-620m processors from 2.66GHZ up to 3.33GHZ and comes with 6GB of DDR3 RAM, plus a 13.1 inch LED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 256GB Quad SSD.

TheĀ  VAIO VPCZ11X9E comes with a choice of Core i7-620m processors from 2.4GHz to 2.93GHZ and 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 128GB Quad SSD. The 13.1 inch LED display features a resolution of 1600 x 900.

Both models in the Sony Vaio Z range will go on sale in March, with prices starting at $1,000.
