Sony has added a new Blu-ray player to their line up with the launch of the Sony BDP-S360.

The Sony BDP-S360 is an entry level Blu-ray player with  full 1080p high definition playback, and full 7.1 surround sound when used with a compatible  AV receiver.

It has built in FTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD Decoding, which is a first for an entry level Blu-ray player. It also features BD-Live, which lets you download additional content, and there is also a built in USB port which lets you save your downloaded content on an USB drive.

The Sony BDP-S360 also features Sony’s Precision Cinema HD Upscale technology which converts SD content into 1080p HD content.

It will go on sale in the UK shortly for about £230.
