Samsung has launched a new range of memory cards, which are designed to take a beating, the Samsung Plus Memory Cards.

The Samsung Plus Memory Cards are waterproof, shock proof, and even magnet proof, and according to Samsung they can be submerged in sea water for up to 24 hours without sustaining any damage.

On top of that you can apparently drive a car over them up to 1.6 tonnes, and they wont break, and they can also withstand magnetic forces up to thirteen times that of home theater speakers.

The Samsung Plus Memory Cards will be available in a range of formats which include microSD and SD cards in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB versions and compact flash memory cards in 4GB or 8GB versions.

They should be available in Europe shortly, there is no word on pricing as yet and no details on when they will be available in the US.
