Last week, the whole world was shocked and amazed as a 10-ton meteor set it’s sights on Russia, and injured nearly 1,000 people. Well, the Russian meteor has broken new records on YouTube as well as DailyMotion.
Collectively, all eyewitness Russian Meteor videos uploaded to both online video services have picked up over 130 million views through the weekend, according to social analysis service Visible Measures. It was really something to see and many of us watched it a few times.
This is the highest rate of viral growth ever recorded as far as online video is concerned. Out of over Russian Meteor 400 videos which were uploaded since last Friday, 160 of them have already passed the 100,000 views mark. The winner has 26.7 million views and counting.
