If you were interested in buying gifts through Pinterest, it just became easier. A new Pinterest Gifts feed has been launched which only displays products that are available for purchase. With this feed users will see “Product Pins,” that have additional information like availability, price and the location where the item can be purchased. That should be pretty handy for buyers. It makes things super easy.
Right now, it is described as a “work-in-progress”. The Gifts Feed can also be filtered based on price.
As in products that cost $50, $25-$50, $50-$200 and products that cost over $200. This way, users on a budget will be able to search for products based on what they have to spend. The product pins will display inventory levels as well, so users will know if it is still available. That way no one gets bummed out when it is.
Right now the Pins in the feed are being curated by Pinterest. Retailers can’t directly add their pins at this time. If you already sell on Etsy and eBay those marketplaces will integrate products into Pinterest’s Gifts Feed for you. The Feed is available on Pinterest for the web with the price selector, while mobile users can also access it through the apps, without being able to choose a price range. This should make folks who sell online very happy.
