Those of you itching for a new Pentax camera will like this news. The new X-5 is a higher end superzoom camera with a 26x, 22-580mm equivalent lens and a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor.
When it comes to previewing pictures, Pentax took an interesting approach with this one. It has an electronic viewfinder and a tilting, 3-inch LCD so that you can look closely at your shots.
The X-5 isn’t all powerful or anything. It uses AA batteries for power, but all in all that ain’t a bad thing when you consider the price. It will cost you $280 when it launches in September. It should do pretty well on the market.
