Mobile payments is obviously something that all the major mobile carriers are looking into, PayPal and Google have their own mobile payment systems, and now they have teamed up with Verifone and the major US mobile carriers to form a mobile payment committee.
The committee will include all of thr four major US mobile carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, as well a PayPal, Isis, Google and Verifone.

As the trade association of the payments industry, ETA is the hub of activity in mobile payments, and our Mobile Payments Committee will help ensure that consumers and merchants have access to an efficient, reliable and secure mobile payments system.”
The committee has been formed to promote mobile payments with merchants and to get the technology used is more retail stores around the US.
