iPad Now Has Over 100,000 Native Apps At Its Disposal
In just 453 days since the launch of Apple’s first generation iPad, developers have created over 100,000 iPad exclusive applications which have been approved for the iTunes app store and are now available for users.
Which is impressive as it took the Apple’s iPhone more than 16 months to accomplish the same goal and pass 100,000 iPhone applications. All this from a tablet that some pundits claimed was “dead in the water” when it launched.

Sprint Samsung Conquer 4G Android Smartphone Announced
Sprint has added another Android smartphone tot its line up with the launch of the Samsung Conquer 4G, which is designed to be a budget Android smartphone, and it will come with a 3.5 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.
Other specifications on the Samsung Conquer 4G include a a single core Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, and two cameras, and it will come with Android 2.3 Ginegrbread.

Mac OS X Lion Launching July 6th?
When Apple announced that Mac OS X Lion would go on sale in July they didn’t give us an actual launch date, we have been hearing rumors over the last couple of weeks that it would launch before the middle of July.
Now the latest rumor is that Apple will launch Mac OS X Lion to the Mac App Store, next Wednesday the 6th of July, the news comes from T-GAAP, who have apparently received some information regarding the launch date.

Even with the tablet market growing at a phenomenal rate Acer still feels there is life left in netbooks. As today they have launched a new line-up of Aspire One Happy 2 netbooks available in a variety of pastel colours.
The Aspire One Happy 2 is powered by a dual-core Atom N570 processor supported by 1GB of RAM. Its also equipped with a 10.1-inch CrystalBrite LED-backlit display, 250GB hard drive, and WiFi.

Indestructible TDL Botnet Discovered By Security Experts
A new variant of the TDL botnet has been discovered by security experts which has been modified to protect itself against attacks and takedown attempts by authorities.
The recent takedowns of illegal botnets has made the creators improve their botnet code to harden their software against future takedowns. With reports indicating that this hardened fourth version of the TDL-4 botnet has already infected around 4.5 million PC’s in just the last three months.

HP TouchPad UK Launch Date 15th July
HP just dropped us an email to let us know that the new HP TouchPad webOS tablet will go on sale here in the UK from the 15th of July, and it will be available from a number of retailers which include, PC World, Currys. Comet, Amazon and the Carphone Warehouse, plus HP’s own web store.
There will be two different models available in the UK, one with 16GB of storage which will retail for £399 and one with 32GB of storage which will retail for £479.
PlayLater Internet DVR Service For PlayOn Users
A new service called PlayLater has launched a closed beta this week which allows you to record live TV and web media and then replay it back on any Internet connected Windows PC.
The new service works in conjunctions with the PlayOn Internet television service. PlayOn currently has more than 25 channels some of which are pictured below and is currently available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, iPad and iPhone.

HP’s TouchPad Gets Reviewed
HP’s first webOS tablet will go on sale shortly, the HP TouchPad, and many of us, myself included have been wondering what the HP TouchPad would actually be like, and whether it would be able to compete with the Apple iPad and the various Android Honeycomb tablets available on the market.
Hardware wise, the HP TouchPad features a a 9.7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, there is also a dual core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and 512MB of RAM.
US Army Testing Haptic Belts To Guide Soldiers On The Battlefield
The US Army is currently testing a new line of Haptic belts which will allow them to guide soldiers to locations on the battlefield using GPS directions and ‘nudges’ from the belt worn by the soldier.
The idea is not new but the technology is now allowing commanders to control troops without the need for them to follow maps and use handheld GPS units, which could give their position away at night.

LG Optimus 3D In Action (Video)
