Parrot AR.FreeFlight Quadricopter App Now Available For Android Devices (video)
If you have been patiently waiting for the Parrot piloting application to land on Android your wait is now over. As Parrot have just announced the arrival of their AR.FreeFlight Quadricopter piloting application for Android devices, and its now available to download for free from the Android Market.
Even thought the Android application is free, the Parrot AR.Drone Quadricopter will still set you back around $300, but you can’t really put a price on all the fun you can have with it. Watch the demo video of the new Android app in action after the jump.

Toshiba Unveils Qosmio DX730 All-In-One Desktop
Toshiba has just announced a new addition to its lineup of desktop all-in-one PC’s with the unveiling at this weeks IFA of the Toshiba Qosmio DX730. The Qosmio DX730 is equipped with a 23-inch multitouch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Enabling you to use gestures to navigate and control your applications on screen.
The Qosmio DX730 is powered by a choice of Intel Core i5, Intel Core i3 or Intel Pentium processors that can be supported with up to 6GB of memory. Onboard storage is provided by a 1TB hard disk drive and the system provides support for 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 providing wireless connectivity.

XtremeMac has announced a new accessory for the iPhone, iPod and iPad, the Xtreme Mac Soma Stand, which is a new speaker dock that is compatible with the majority of iPods, the iPhone and the iPad.
The stand is designed to be portable and XtremeMac describes it as ‘fold and go’, and it is designed to provide stereo sound from your iPhone, iPod or iPad, it comes with up to 6 hours of music playback on batteries and also comes with an AC adapter.
Sony Tablet S Goes Up For Pre-Order In The US
Last week Sony’s new Android tablet, the Sony Tablet S went up for pre-order in the UK, and now Sony has put up the Tablet S for pre-order in the US, with prices starting at $499.99 for the 16GB model and $599 for the 32GB model.
The Sony Tablet S comes with a 9.4 inch touchscreen display that features a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, it comes with Android 3.1 Honeycomb and processing is provided by a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.
Pantech Breakout LTE And Samsung Illusion Headed To Verizon
It looks like Verizon Wireless will have a couple of new smartphones this month in the form of the new Pantech Breakout LTE and the Samsung Illusion, which should be available some time in September.
The Pantech Breakout LTE is a 4G capable device with a four inch touchscreen display with a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, processing is provided by a single core 1GHz processor.
Dell To Partner With Baidu On Tablets And Smartphones
Baidu is China’s most popular search engine, and yesterday they announced that they will be launching their own mobile OS called Yi OS, and now it looks like the will be teaming up with hardware maker Dell for a range of smartphones and tablets.
There are no details as yet on exactly what Dell will be producing in terms of new smartphones and tablets running the Yi OS, although Dell mentioned the Dell streak in a recent interview with Reuters.
Samsung Galaxy Note European Pricing Revealed
Last week we saw the launch of a new Android device from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Note, which is a new gadget designed to replace your smartphone and tablet, and now we have some actual details on the pricing, for Europe.
The Samsung Galaxy Note will retail for 549 Euros in Europe without a contract and 199 Euros with a contract with one of the European mobile carriers.

European game retailer and no doubt winner of many a Concise Retailer Name award Game has apparently taken to removing consoles from shelves. To be fair though, only 20 GB and non-HDMI Xbox 360s are getting the boot and a fair portion of those things shouldn’t have seen the light of retail to begin with. In fact, we applaud the initiative and we would have applauded it even more had they announced it the day they decided to sell used Xbox 360s in the first place.
