Focus Designs Self Balancing Unicycle Version 2.0 Now Available (video)
Focus Designs have been developing their self-balancing unicycle for some time and are now ready to released a new Version 2.0 which is ready for market and is available to purchase for around $1500.
Focus Designs has used seven sensors, gyros and accelerometers to monitor the orientation of the unicycle. Which is then decoded via a processor, by a number of custom algorithms. This data is then feed down to the hub-mounted motor which then either speeds up or slows down to maintain axial forwards/backwards balance.
