MacBook Pro Dropped From Balcony, Survives Thanks To G-Form Case (Video)

Last month we saw the new G-Form iPad case, and now the guys from G-Form have been testing out one for the MacBook Pro, and to prove it works the decided to drop a MacBook Pro, 20 feet from a balcony.

Have a look at the video below, which shows the G-Form sleeve for the MacBook in action, and it looks like it does a good job of protecting the MacBook Pro.

Portal 2 Handmade Figures

If you are an avid fans of the cute robots Atlas and P-body from the new Valve Portal 2 game these custom handmade figures created by sculptor Chris Hooton a.k.a Sabretooth should bring a smile to your face.

His Atlas and P-body figures where made from scratch and took two weeks solid to create. Chris admits that the two robots were by far some of the toughest figures he has ever tried to sculptor.

HTC Sensation Now Available To Pre-order from Vodafone UK

The HTC Sensation was announced last month, and now UK mobile operator Vodafone has started taking pre-orders on HTC’s latest Android smartphone which is due to go on sale later this month.

The HTC Sensation is available from free with Vodafone UK for customers who sign up to a new 24 month contract that costs £35 per month, the cheapest contract available for the Sensation costs £25 per month, although you will have to pay £199 up front for the handset.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Features Gorilla Glass

Samsung has announced that the new Samsung Galaxy S2 features Corning Gorilla Glass, which should mean that the screen is durable and not susceptible to scratches and knocks.

Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy S2 include a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and there is also a dual core 1.2GHz processor.

PdaNet 3.0 Brings A New Feature To Hide Your Tethering Usage From Carriers

If you are a Windows or Android user and are worried about the reports of phone carriers cracking down on tethering apps. A new version of PdaNet 3.0 has been released which now includes a feature to ‘Hide Tether Usage’ from carriers.

Mobile Carriers in the US have started cracking down on some  tethering apps with carriers AT&T and T-Mobile blocking access to the applications from devices on their networks, and has been sending messages to unofficial tetherers.

AT&T Says No iPhone 5 In June Or July?

There have been a number of rumors over the last few months that Apple wouldn’t follow their annual launch schedule for the iPhone, and we would have to wait until September to see the new iPhone 5.

Now according to an AT&T customer representative, the company has been informed by Apple, that there will be no new iPhone in June or July of 2011, and the customer who was told this contacted AT&T as they noticed their upgrade eligibility date had been pushed back 5 months.

Feno Folding Notebook Concept

This stylish Feno folding notebook concept has been created by designer Niels van Hoof and incorporates a super thin OLED screen to allow it to collapse and folded into around a third of its size for transport. With the OLED screen actually wrapping its self around the keyboard.

The Feno concept also includes a small pop-out mouse on the right hand side which can be neatly stowed away when not in use, eliminating the need for a touch pad and enabling the keyboard to take up much less space.

PC Rental Store Accused Of Using Webcams And Keyloggers To Spy On Customers

A PC rental store in the US called Aaron’s has been accused of spying on its customers with the built in web cameras on their computers and also using key logger software to monitor its customers activity.

The company has allegedly been using software called ‘PC Rental Agent’ which lets them monitor their customers PC activity and they can also shut a users computer down with the software if they haven’t paid their rental fees.
