It is getting close to that time of the year when Apple holds their annual event to reveal a new iPod Touch, this usually happens sometime in September and All Things D are reporting that the event is scheduled for the middle of September.
We have already seen photos of some replacement parts for the next generation iPod Touch, which show that the new model will feature a front facing video camera.
When Motorola announced the new Droid 2 Android smartphone, they also announced that they would be releasing a limited edition R2-D2 Droid 2.
It seems that some photos have now appeared showing the R2-D2 Droid 2 which is expected to be unveiled today at the start of the Celebration V show.
Apple has released an update to its iPhone and iPod Touch software, the new version iOS 4.0.2 is designed to fix the security flaws that used an exploit in PDF’s.

All the years of being a total douche on late charges and rental fees have finally started to catch up with Blockbuster. With stiff competition from mail order firm Netflix and kiosk rentals from Redbox consumers are leaving Blockbuster in droves. Many Blockbuster locations have closed and some predict the company could go under as early as next year.
Blockbuster is trying to beef up its mail order rental service to woo more users into trying its service out. Blockbuster is now offering members who already have mail-order rental subscriptions with them for movies and TV shows the ability to rent games for the same price.
Back in January right around the time CES was underway we caught wind of a portable DVD player coming from Audiovox that featured Flo TV service capability. We haven’t really heard much else about the DVD player until today.
Audiovox announced today that the DVD player is now available to purchase and you can hop over and get it at Best Buy right now. Ordro has just launched a new camcorder, the Ordo HDV-D350s, which can record HD video at 60fps at a 1440 x 1080 resolution, and can also take 12 megapixel still photos.
Whilst the specifications sound pretty standard, it does have one very interesting feature, the ability to project the video you have just taken using a removable pico projector attachment.
