OCZ has announced it latest PCI Express solid state drive (SSD), the OCZ Z-Drive R2, which is the fourth generation PCI Express SSD from OCZ.
The Z-Drive R2 has some impressive specifications, with read write speeds of up to 1400MB/s for the 1TB and 2TB versions, and there is also a smaller version available with read and write speeds of up to 800MB/s.
The OCZ Z-Drive is designed to be used in high speed enterprise servers and not your average home PC or gaming PC. The drives are bootable and even have interchangeable memory modules which means they can be upgraded.
There are no details on how much these new OCZ Z-Drive R2 SSDs will retail for, but you just know this is going to be one expensive solid state drive.
