OCZ Vertex 2 and Onyx 1.8 inch SSDs

OCZ has just released another two new lines of solid state drives the Vertex 2 and Onyx. The new ranges have been designed for the ultra slim notebook market and measure just 1.8 inches and use the SATA 3GB/s interface.

The new OCZ Vertex 2 SSD is available in 60, 120 and 240 GB storage capacities with a 285MB/s read speed and 275MB/s write speed.

The Onyx SSD has smaller storage capacities of just 32 and 64GB and offers a slightly slower data speed of 145MB/s with 64MB of cache but only needs a single watt of power to be operational. More information can be found on the OCZ website.
