Samsung has already announced an 8 inch tablet, the Galaxy Note 8.0. However, it features a classic 1280 x 800 screen resolution, which means it’s not on par with Apple’s upcoming iPad Mini (it should have a 7.9 inch Retina Display – 2048 x 1536 pixels). But it looks like Samsung has a Full HD 8 inch tablet on the way too.
According to Sam Mobile, the company is working on an 8 inch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1200 pixels. This will be in a tablet that should officially debut at IFA 2013 in Berlin. This would be the second Samsung tablet to have an AMOLED screen.
We don’t have any other details yet, but we expect it to have Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or maybe 5.0 Key Lime Pie, along with at least a quad-core processor.
