Right on time, since NASA’s Curiosity will attempt it’s landing on August 5th, Mattel has unveiled a Hot Wheels die-cast model of the rover. This 1:64 scale rover will reproduce the machine in all it’s glory.
There’s the nuclear motor, drill, cameras and laser, and the will to explore. Best of all it won’t cost you $2.5 billion. More like $1.09 or thereabouts. Put it on your desk, or race against friends. It’s all good. You will want to add this one to your collection for sure, whether you are a NASA fan or just a Hot wheels fan.
The real six-wheeled rover will hopefully land successfully and have a long life exploring Mars.
