We had heard in January that Nintendo’s Mario Kart 8 for the Nintendo Wii U would be releasing in May. Originally, the game was given a vague spring release, but now Nintendo’s president, Satoru Iwata, has confirmed that Mario Kart 8’s release will be on May 30th. The wait is almost over.
We don’t know if this is an international release or if the game might see a release in certain markets first before making its way to other parts of the world. We will let you know when we learn. Mark your calendar. May 30th is the date Mario Kart fans have been waiting for. It will be here soon.
Nintendo has also confirmed that all the Koopalings will be playable racers in this title. They are the level bosses from games like Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. They include Iggy, Morton, Lemmy, Ludwig, Roy, Wendy, and Larry, so it looks like we have some more variety. And that is good when you reach the 8th version of a popular title. This is Nintendo doing things right. Which they have not been doing lately.
