Here is a cool green gadget, the Magno Cube Wooden Radio, which was designed by Singgih Kartono.

The Magno Cube Wooden Radio is handmade in an Indonesian farming village, and each one takes about 16 hours to make, it features a 4 band (FM/AM/SW1/SW2) radio and you can also hook it up to your MP3 player via a 3.5mm audio jack and use it as a speaker.

The casing is made from a combination of woof and glass and it is powered by either AA batteries or a DC adapter.

If you want one they aren’t cheap at £175 about $285, available from the Design Museum shop.
