The JCB Toughphone Pro-Smart is probably one of the toughest Android smartphones on the market and comes equipped with a single-core 800MHz processor, 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, front-facing one, GPS.
The JCB Toughphone comes running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is fitted with a 2,000mAh battery, providing a talk time of around 550 minutes on a GSM network and up to 360 hours of standby.
Another JCB smartphone now available is the JCB Toughphone Sitemaster 2, which is also IP67 resistant but also can survive drops from 2m heights and has been tested under pressures of 1 tonne. Its now available for around £120. The JCB Toughphone Pro-Smart is now available to purchase for around £310.
