Apple normally releases the iPhone around June or July, last year was the exception with the iPhone 4S being launched in October, and now it would appear that Apple may follow the same pattern for this years iPhone.
According to a recent report from Macotakara, Apple intends to launch the next generation iPhone, which may be called the iPhone 5, although the iPhone 4S is the fifth generation iPhone, in either September or October of 2012.
According to Asian reliable source, next iPhone will be released in September or October , and this cycle seems to be kept for years.” – Macotakara
It would make sense for Apple to launch the iPhone 5 in either September of October, as the majority of people who bought the iPhone 4S and wanted to upgrade to the new model would be in at least a 12 month contract with their mobile carrier.
If Apple released it around June or July, like the have done in previous years, this could mean additional costs for people who wanted to upgrade.
