Instagram has its fair share of users, but it is no Facebook. That’s okay, because these are two different companies. There is room for both. Like there is room for multiple accounts on Instagram. Multiple accounts has been something many users have wanted, but nothing has been done by Instagram until now. Instagram did introduce multiple account support, but it did not last long before it removed the feature. What gives? No one seems to know.
Having multiple Instagram accounts is good for some users. Maybe you have a professional account, while you keep the other one as a social account. That makes sense for some people. Surely they would want to deliver.
We now know that this multiple user Instagram account feature was briefly a thing. Interestingly, it is still available to Instagram beta testers. We don’t know why this happened. Maybe it wasn’t fully baked. Instagram is keeping quiet about why they decided to remove this feature, but we can only hope that Instagram puts it back. They are likely to put it back after the bugs are worked out, but I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. When we learn more, we will let you know.
