iHome has launched a new set of headphones that can be used as a set of speakers as well, the iHome iHMP5 Headphones.

The iHome iHMP5 Headphones feature a built in in-line amplifier that lets you use the headphones as a pair of speakers with your iPhone, iPod or MP3 player.

When the headphones are switched to speaker mode, the battery powered amplifier kicks in to provide a louder sound, and they feature 2 inch drivers, plus there is also an extra volume clip, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The iHome iHMP5 Headphones come in a variety of different colors, including blue silver and red, they are available now from iHome.
