HP’s new multitouch tablet PC – The HP TouchSmart tx2
HP has unveiled a new multi-touch tablet PC, the HP TouchSmart tx2.
The HP TouchSmart tx2 features a 12.1 inch LCD touchscreen, the touchscreen interface is different than that of the iPhone or iPod Touch, as it uses capacitive touch.
The capacitive touch enables more accurate inputs, two handed gestures and brushes and swipes, i.e if you wanted to crop a photo, this can be done using two hands.
Processing comes in the form of a dual core AMZ Turion X2 processor, graphics is provided by an ATI Radeon HD 3200.
There is also the choice to have up to 8GB of RAM, and various sizes of storage, ranging from 160GB up to 500GB.
The HP TouchSmart tx2 also features a built in DVD RW, WiFi and comes with Windows Vista.
It is available now from HP with prices starting at $1,1499.
