Honda unveils Miimo robotic grass cutter

Nobody wants to mow the lawn, especially on a hot day. This sounds like a job for a robot. Honda has officially unveiled the Miimo, a robotic lawn mower for the European market. It operates within a boundary wire placed around your yard and Miimo will cut between 2-3mm of your grass throughout the week. Sounds relaxing to me.

This bot will even cut the grass in random patterns to reduce the stress on your lawn. With a fan built into the blade holder, the Miimo can suck the grass towards the blades which results in a better all around cut.

It runs on a lithium-ion battery and can return to its charging station when it is low on battery power too. It comes in two models (Miimo 300 and Miimo 500) and will be available via Honda Authorized Dealers across Europe in 2013.
