Homeland Security is building robotic tuna to protect American waters

Modeled after Tuna, Homeland security has set it’s sights on some new underwater robots to defend our watery borders. The BIOSwimmer is being built by Boston Engineering and is funded by the Department of Homeland Security. This unmanned underwater vehicle will be inspecting assets in harsh situations.

It could to things like seeing if pumps are working in oily water, inspect harbors and piers for bombs and explore flooded ships. Maybe it will even have some secret spy missions. Yes, this will be one busy tuna.

It may not look like much, but it can be equipped with several different kinds of payloads. Lookout evildoers, the tuna is on the prowl. Did it really have to be yellow? Yellow just looks so silly.
