Hacked Xbox 360 Leads To Police Raid Someone Else

Gamers on Xbox Live, really any platform, can be a foul mouthed bunch of trash talkers. And sometimes dealing with people on Xbox Live can lead to the police surrounding your home in the middle of the night with guns. Sadly.
According to a WFTV report, some hackers hacked a teenager’s Xbox 360, demanding information about a video game apparently. The teenager refused to help them, so the hackers gave this kids personal information that was tied to his account to local police. Basically false reports of the teenagers home currently undergoing a murder and hostage situation.

Yeah, this is really messed up behavior. They are lucky that no one was hurt. Police traced the account of the teenager and surrounded a completely unrelated family’s home in Ovideo, Florida. The teenager they were looking for, actually lived in another house within the town. The police traced the IP address of the two hackers who were responsible for the false police report.
