Feast opened last March on Third Avenue in New York city. It’s a small operation, but people seem to like the place, so it’s all good in the neighborhood right? Wrong. After management asked a Google Glass wearing customer to remove the device a few weeks back, the restaurant has since been hit with thirteen retaliatory one-star reviews posted in rapid succession. Of course these are the first results people see anytime someone looks up the business online. How mature of these Glass users.
Before the initial incident, Feast had already gotten “several comments about privacy” from customers. The first customer agreed to remove his glasses. The second Google Glass wearing customer said no, left the restaurant, then talked about it on Google Plus.
Here is a sampling of what some of these Glass-wearers are saying about the restaurant. Which they have never visited vy the way:
“They discriminate against people who are into new technology. Do not eat here.”
“Ignorant bigots and hateful. Perhaps being illegally discriminate too. The food is irrelevant as the service is less than poor.”
It is funny and sad. More sad though. Here is what I would say to these glass users who like to bully restaurants:
I love technology. You love technology. If you want to act like an idiot, that’s your business, but let me just school you on a few things, since you can’t think for yourself and act like an adult. What gives you the right to ruin someone’s business? Someone(Likely several someones) poured their blood, sweat and tears into that place. This business is someone’s dream. They more than likely went into debt to make it happen. Actual human beings work there and depend on the money they earn serving morons like you.
You think its cool to ruin someones reputation and life’s work because you couldn’t wear your special glasses? You my friends have proven yourself not grown up enough to be allowed to play with your toy. And you know something else? If the food at this place is half as decent as I hear, you don’t deserve to eat it. You can go find a place that matches your low class attitude and inability to think beyond your own self entitled BS. I’m thinking McDonalds or something like a Hardees.
Rant over. Sorry about that folks, but someone had to say it. The rest of you, check this place out and have a nice dinner one night. We have to support what others tear down. I guess what I’m saying is, I dig Glass, just wear it with class.
