Google has been in the notebook industry for almost three years with the Chromebook. Sure, the shipments are still small, but the volume should be able to surpass one million units in 2013 according to Digitimes Research estimates. And if you are waiting for an Android notebook, we have some good news.
Google’s Android-based notebooks may show up at the end of the third quarter or early in the fourth quarter of this year.
Sundar Pichai, head of the Chrome team, will also handle Android development and that should speed things up and let them get a good hold on the PC market. Who is looking forward to an androidbook?
