Google Adds Cycling Routes And Directions To Google Maps

Google [GOOG] has updated its Google Maps service to including cycling routes and also directions for cyclists in the US. You can now get directions and access information on dedicated cycling routes.

The cycling directions service works exactly like the Google Maps route planner for walking or traveling by car, and it also has a built in feature so you can plan the safest route avoiding all the traffic.

The service is only live the the US at the moment, there are no details as yet on when Google plans to roll the service out to the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

As soon as we get some more details on when the cycling routes and directions service for Google Maps is to be expanded to other countries we will let you guys know.
