Last week an image leaked online suggesting that Sony had made a gold PlayStation 4 Slim. There is nothing different about this console other than its gold color, as far as we can tell.
Now a new leak suggests that the gold PlayStation 4 Slim is going to be released next week.
The PlayStation 4 Slim is currently offered in matte black and glacier white only,so any colors are a welcome addition. This isn’t the first time that Sony has launched a gold-colored PS4. The original PS4 was sold through a competition with Taco Bell in gold color. Twitter user Wario64 has leaked the Target weekly ad for the week of June 11th and it mentions that the gold PlayStation 4 Slim is going to be a “limited edition console.”
It will be sold for $249.99 so customers will be able to buy it at a $50 discount compared to the normal retail price of $299.99. Customers will also be able to pick up a matching gold PS4 DualShock controller for $39.99. Sony has not yet officially announced the gold PS4 Slim and it’s not known when it plans to. It’s also unclear if Sony is going to offer this color option in other markets around the globe. It is nice to have a new color in any event.
