On October 30, Google rolled out a new type of composer for Gmail: basically a small box fixed to the bottom-right corner of the screen that can be popped out. Some people liked the change, others hated it, like most changes.
Well, whether you love it or hate it, the change is here to stay. The new Gmail composer is designed to allow you to browse through the rest of your email without exiting from the composer box. It’s handy if for example, you are composing an email with quotes from past emails. You can just go through old emails without exiting the composer.
The complaints come from the fact that it is small and in a bad position. Well, I guess we better get used to it no matter what we think.
