Think about all of those old CDs and DVDs that are not being used. Nobody listens to music on CDs anymore. Same thing with DVDs. And so Fujitsu will be putting these outdated media formats to good use once again, with a recycling program.
The program uses the material to build brand new notebooks, starting with the Lifebook P772/E enterprise laptop. More models will follow hot on it’s heels. According to the company, the new program will reduce the use of new plastic by 10 tons a year and cut C02 emissions by about 15 percent.
That’s great news for those of us who like our gadgets just a little greener. If that sounds like you, you’ll want to check out some of these new notebooks.
