Freecom has launched a new portable hard drive, which is designed to withstand extreme conditions, the Freecom ToughDrive Sport.

The Freecom ToughDrive Sport Portable Hard Drive is able to withstand falling from two metres onto a flat surface, and has built in 256 bit MD5 hardware password protection.

It has an integrated USB cable, and measures 155 x 91 x 21mm, it comes in a variety of sizes  including 250GB, 320GB and 500GB.

Prices start at $144 up to $241 and it is available from Freecom.
