Instagram has successfully launched its video feature and it seems like everyone was taking part, with users uploading 5 million clips within the first 24 hours of it being available. The new addition to the app provides similar functionality to Vine.
It actually caused Facebook servers to get 40 hours of video footage per minute at the height of things. Company representatives have already confirmed the figures, and that has to make them very happy. It received so many video clips in its first eight hours that it would take a year to watch every single one. There were of course capacity issues, resulting in some finding the service slow to load.
Will it overtake Vine? We will have to watch closely.
