Bad news for PC using fans of the Final Fantasy series. Even though one hasn’t been confirmed yet, if the team behind it were to confirm a Final Fantasy 15 PC port, the game’s co-director Hajime Tabata has said that it could take “more than a year” to make that happen.
That really stinks for fans of the game.
Square Enix hasn’t completely ruled out a Final Fantasy 15 PC port. It even said back in April that it was taking a “good, hard look” at launching this game for PC. Hajime Tabata also said that if a PC port were to be confirmed, the studio will “work to provide a better version” than what it has created for consoles. It’s good that they are focused on quality at least.
“Something like this would take us more than a year. We should work to adapt the engine, which is very laborious, and from there to develop its course,”
Square Enix has not yet made a decision. Fans of the franchise would like to see this game on PCs though. Maybe we will hear more about this once this game has been released for consoles. We will have to wait and see what they decide.
