Disposable Eco Can Puts Biodegradable Spin On Canned Drinks

The funny thing about the Eco Can is the manufacturers fashioned it after a well, can. Like a can, it’s disposable. Unlike a can, it’s biodegradable and can (that again) store hot liquid. If it does more than your average can, then why is it shaped like a can? Can you understand the point we’re trying to make?

Sillyness aside, the Eco Can is a double walled PLA plastic container that’s microwavable and holds 280 ml of any liquid you desire. PLA plastic, better known as polylactic acid plastic, is derived from sustainable crops like corn starch, etc. So this polylactic beverage holder goes back to mother nature after it’s disposed.
Here’s some promotional text from the online retailer:
“Double walled, the Eco Can offers excellent temperature retention (hot or cold) and is microwave and dishwasher safe. Use it for soup, coffee, juice, whatever. With a screw top lid and ring top-style drinking lip spills and drips are virtually impossible. And because it’s the same size as a normal can of glug you can bung it in your bag wherever you may roam. If any can can, Eco Can can.”
The Eco Can is available at this location for $21 plus shipping.
